Hello everybody my name is Rhett Ashton. I am entering the amazing world of building my own airplane. This has been a dream of mine ever since I was a little youngster watching my grandfather and dad build a KR1 and a KR2. Now it's my turn to do the building.
I have chosen the build the Sonex, it is a well designed aircraft that has good performance and low cost. I purchased the plans in July of 2006 and now I have finally started to build.
UPDATE 8-18-2010: After a lot of thought I've decided to switch gears and buy the kit instead of scratch building. The time saved by building from the kit is too hard to ignore. I will be placing my order next week. Stay tuned!
