Hi,Sean. I noticed the picture of your primed parts on the VAF site 4-10-12 and wondered if you could tell me what primer you used. I am a prospective builder up in Denver and have the empennage kit lying on a table, waiting for other projects to get done. Good luck to you. From Tom Boyette

Hey Sean, that looks like fun. I'm a student pilot at Colorado Springs, and an aircraft mechanic. I've been tempted to do a kit myself, but am not ready to start one yet. I'm a new EAA member too and was looking into joining the chapter at Meadowlake, that's how I found your construction site! From Jason Tepool

Hey Sean,
This is Marvin Adams. If you don't remember, I live (or lived) around the block from you and tracked you down a few years ago when you first bought the kit. Nice to see your progressing. Haven't bought a kit yet, but still in the plans. By the way, I did end up getting my Private Pilot License. Drop my a line, we'll go flying. firefightermarv@msn.com

I'm sorry we haven't met you and would guess you're a member of EAA Chapter 72, If not, you would enjoy. I've built and am flying a couple Lancairs at Meadow Lake which I try to fly each week. I think you love you RV-10, since I've had some time in the "6". Anyway I'm looking forward to visiting with you at the field. Best to you, Bud. From Bud Wasserott

I am also building a -10 but am only in the tailcone section at the moment. I am curious how you are doing the priming of the parts - what tools, how many steps. I was going to go the spraycan primer route (green chromate like primer) but am curious about other approaches. My website is at websites.expercraft.com/douglasn

Congrats on your progress on the 10. I am a bit behind you just finishing the empannage yesterday and ordering the rest of the kit. I appreciate your pictures and notes as it always helps to read some other builder's experiences as you go through figuring various construction challenges out. good luck From Michael Lefever

Started my -10 about 2 months before you. Working on panel layout, so it can be mounted before canopy. Seats look gorgeous!
Need to drop pounds too, as I am over 250 now.
Wonder if Atkins is better than the Scarsdale I used 20 years ago to drop 45 lbs?
Keep poundin' those rivets!

Sean, each time I look at your progress on the RV-10, I'm so impressed with the task you've undertaken. And, it's amazing to see your progress with starting out with a lot of very small parts to more than half a plane together. I'm really proud of what you're accomplishing. Love you much, mom From Janice Hannah

I just went through your entire site, Sean. WOW! You have gotten so far and you're doing terrific work! I'm also glad that you were able to get a larger hanger. It was also great seeing Brandon helping out.
