Baffling And Cooling
BAF 21 - Nose Fabric and tightening up
Continued attempts to finish firewall forward. I worked on the nose seal fabric. I have the #1 Cyl side pretty well done. I worked on the #2 side and stopped before the last step of gluing the joint I made. I need the cowl on the check the fit. Later.
I finished fabricating and installing all the exit baffle "wires" somewhat per the plans. I used the 1/8" rod supplied and formed the 6-32 threads per the plans. The bends were all different to fit my engine. As recomended by an A&P, I added additional nuts on the threads. The added nut is on the opposite side of the baffle flange so that the tightening nut (per plan) has a hard stop without putting so much strain on the baffle.
