I am building an RV-8A, much like the one pictured except mine will be a tricycle gear. I have chosen this picture for the start of my log since I really like the paint job. Of course over the years the ideas for paint jobs will be numerous. The RV-8 is a tandem seat aerobatic flying machine. It will fly at some 200 mph which means nice legs on cross countries. You can also just cruise around and do loops, rolls and formation flying. Having flown fighter aircraft most of my career this is the airplane for me. The bubble canopy and fighter like feel are just awesome. Ok, so it will not go mach 2.0 but who cares when you have air under you butt and you can turn upside down.
