Riveted canopy to slide. Sanded down all the rivets so they would not hit the inside of the slide. About 1/16 inch seemed to help. Tested the length on the back holes first, they can be reached behind the slide. It worked out and the canopy is on and working. Need to install the remaining AN3-4 bolts to secure the canopy. I can remove the entire thing if neede, like for painting.
