Ribs
Finished drilling and de-burring holes and mounted ribs for the right wing.
I finished drilling the ribs and fitted and drilled the tip ribs (1.1). They were pre-built from the factory. I mounted the ribs in the right wing frame (4.7 hours).
| I finally finished drilling and de-burring 540 holes in the ribs. The four ribs in the right of the picture will be drilled when the upper and lower metal skins are fitted. |
| At last, it is starting to look more like a wing and less like a ladder. The root rib and the #2 rib will be riveted in after the fuel tank has "soaked" to its finally shape and had been fitted and bolted in place. |
