You're going to do what!??!
Well I have decided to build an airplane. I'm building a Van's RV-7A. The RV-7A is a 2 seat side by side airplane with cruising speeds capable of 200 mph. I've flown in several RV-6 airplanes and absolute love the speed and handling of the RV series airplane. Look here for more information:

Why not just buy one?
I have several reasons for building. The main reason is to learn more about the airplane I'm flying. I will know so much more about the airplane having built it. It's an educational process. Don't forget about the cost savings. If I build it I can do the annual condition inspection as well as all of the maintenance. I've seen a few RV-7/7A airplanes for sale and they aren't going cheap (over $100k) so I'm building my own. Also with over 4000 RVs flying support is tremendous. I've got at least 3 other RVs being built locally and many more in nearby cities.

I finished the vertical stabilizer last night. It was pretty simple. The rudder looks a bit more complicated but I hope to get the skeleton primed this weekend.
