Van's prototype - We will use the "slider" canopy instead of the "tip-up" in this picture.

Welcome to the home of N288RV!
Glad that you could join us for the building of a Van's Aircraft RV-7A. Check back at these pages frequently to catch up on our progress, learn from our mistakes and get new ideas for your own project.

We look forward to your company . . . and your comments along the way.

I think we have a winner!

Paint Schemes
After reviewing several hundred paint schemes (both live and via photographs) I think we have a winner. Both Rodney and I agree this paint job has the "look" we wanted. Something that says fast and flashy, without being over the top.

We'll try to find someone locally that can duplicate it pretty close . . . or try to find the owner of the original and ask for permission to borrow their design (and maybe the original drawings).

Both seats have now gone through initial fit. A small amount of final prep and primer and we can complete final assembly.

Latest Update - 04/21/12
Rodney spent the short time we had available today finishing up the co-pilot's seat for initial fit, while I finished the initial fit of the forward covers and did some deburring of his drill holes on the seats.

We are nearing a point where we are going to be stuck waiting for some warm weather to paint. Hopefully mother nature will help us out.
