I just turned the big 50 and decided I would like to build a plane now while I still have a few years of good health ahead of me. I work at The University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia as a research scientist (75%) / lecturer (25%) of my time. My research interests are weed science, weed ecology, climate change, spray drift, invasive weeds and herbicide resistance.

I am currently working on Parthenium weed and a good percentage of my time is taken up supervising the four PhD students and Masters student we have on our team.
