Nice view of wing stitched after doped up. I had scraped off dope under stitches prior of course.

Rib stitching
It was done after a lot of frustration and as an afterthought after covinging and doping one wing. But it is really worth the peace of mind and saves time in the long run to stitch the undercamber ribs as I had lots of fabric peeling from the ribs on the underside.

Rarely runs.

Dope rules!
I found that rarely can one screw up with dope. Yes one can get a run like shown but overall it is the easiest to sand, paint, and relatively cheap compared to PolySpray system or other high dollar difficult finishes. Be sure to use a HVLP gun to save on supplies. Using retarder gave me a reall nice final finish.

Shown here with truck but I got the Ford Escape Hybrid rigged up for towing the nwext time.

The rig is in the Spinks wash bay to stay out of the way of hangars since it is quite long.

A view from the other side.

Trailering
Trailering works good as I was able to trailer it to the Spinks airshow after working on the gear. But less than a month later I managed to puncture the belly cloth when the tail wheel ramp slipped on me while preparing to unload from trailer.

It should be a Wilson ball as Dean Wilson started Avid!

Dock bumper gets a lot of attention.
Here is what makes the Avid flying boats unique!
